It reminds me of a Slovak joke totally untranslatable into English. Nevertheless, a Latina-ish will understand since Spanish, just like Slovak, uses the adverb “verde” to mean both “green” and “unripe”.
Grandson: Grandpa, what are these?
Grandpa: Black currants.
Grandson: But why are they red?
Grandpa: Porque están still verde.
Uhm. Green would be an adjective, naturally.

Por casualidad, estoy leyendo un libro ahora llamado “Raza y Realidad” (Es in inglés, “Race and Reality” by Guy P. Harrison), que hace el argumento de que la raza no existe en absoluto. Voy a tener que responder a ti más después de leer el libro porque mis creencias están cambiando!
